GABRIELA TESSITORE is an award-winning documentary film editor with 12 years of professional experience. She spent a decade in NYC editing documentaries and branded content - working with clients such as Vice, REI, Google, and The New York Times. Whether cutting a fast-paced commercial or a narrative driven documentary, she believes every edit has a story to tell.

Her work has been featured at Sundance Film Festival (‘As We Speak’ - Paramount+ / MTV), Mountain Film Festival (Do Better Together - REI) and was the winner of Best Documentary Short at Queens World Film Festival (Foul Play: The Dutee Chand Story - Vice). She has edited films that have been the recipient of a Webby Award (Identify: Schuyler Bailer - Vice) and a Cannes Lion Bronze (Celebrating Virtual Pride in Colombia - Google).

Gabriela is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she discovered her passion for documentary filmmaking while studying abroad in Havana, Cuba. She is the daughter of two classical musician parents who heavily influenced her understanding and knowledge of pacing and rhythm - arguably one of the most integral parts of an edit. She speaks Portuguese and Spanish as well as English.

Currently based in Portland, OR but always open, curious, and willing to travel.
